Paleo Granola [Recipe]

Here is a simple and delicious granola recipe that you can make yourself. Eat it on its own or add it to your yogurt for a yummy topping! Plus, the macros on this treat are great for adding it to a balanced snack or incorporating it right into your Custom Meal Plan.

Feel free to add in fresh fruit, such as blueberries, to add extra flavor to your granola.



  • 2 cups sliced almonds
  • 2 cups unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 cup raw sunflower seeds
  • 1 cups raw pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 extra virgin coconut oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg


Preheat your oven to 350º and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, mix your coconut, nuts, and seeds, adding in your cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir until your mixture is coated in the seasonings.

On low heat, melt your coconut oil and honey. Add in your vanilla extract.

Once warm and melted, pour the mixture over your nuts and seeds and stir it all together so that your nuts and seeds are coated.

Pour onto the baking sheet and spread evenly. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.

After you remove your newly baked granola from the oven, let it cool before adding it to a storage container.


This makes 14 servings (about 7 cups). Serving size 1/2 cup.

How Italians Make Tacos [Michael’s in the Kitchen!!]

Today we’re making tacos and if you’re like me, you LOVE tacos.

But as we know, they aren’t always the healthiest meal you could have, so we decided to make them from scratch with all natural, healthy ingredients. And boy, they are some of the best tacos I have ever had!

Being Italian, I don’t have a family recipe that has been passed down from one generation to the next and that’s why I called in some help. Take a look at the video below and watch as my friend Jose and I make tacos, including the salsa, from scratch! Trust me, by the end of this video, you will be gathering the ingredients to make tacos for dinner!



Grass-fed Ground Beef
Avocados (optional topping)
1 White Onion (optional topping)
1/2 Bunch of Cilantro (optional topping)

1/2 cup Coconut Flour
4 large Eggs
1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
1/2 tsp Salt

8 Tomatoes
4-8 Chili Serrano Pepper (depending on how spicy you want it)
1 Clove of Garlic
1 Purple Onion
1 Lemon
1/2 Bunch of Cilantro
Himalayan Salt


In a skillet over medium heat, cook your grass-fed ground beef until fully cooked. Season with FlavorGod Seasoning taco seasoning.

Whisk all of your ingredients together in a bowl until smooth. Let the batter sit for a couple of minutes to loosen. Your batter should be runny before cooking.

Heat a small skillet over medium heat and grease with olive or coconut oil. Pour 1/4 cup of your batter onto the skillet, rotating the pan so that it forms a thin circle and the batter is evenly distributed. Cover with a lid and let it cook for about 2 minutes, or until the edges begin to curl inward. Flip and repeat.

Finely chop your onions and cilantro.

In a pan on medium-high heat, char your tomatoes and chili serrano peppers until they almost look burnt. Add your tomatoes and peppers into a blender and pulse until mixed. Once blended, cut your lemon in half and add the juice from the entire lemon. Then add in your onions and cilantro and pulse until you reach your desired level of chunky. Salt to the desired flavor.

Once you have finished, you can finely dice the white onion and remaining cilantro together and/or carve up an avocado into cubes for delicious, healthy toppings.

Assemble your tacos and enjoy!

5 Minute No Carb Breakfast [To-Go Recipe]

Need a breakfast that is healthy, quick, easy, and you can prep for more several days? These egg cups are everything you could ask for in a breakfast and make meal prepping that much more simple.

Plus, they fit right onto your Custom Meal Plan!



2 cups spinach
1 tomato (veggie of your choice)
2 cups egg whites



Preheat your oven to 350º F.

Lightly grease a 6 muffin baking sheet with olive oil and dividing your spinach into each slot. Do the same with the tomatoes and egg whites. Salt and pepper to taste.

Bake for 15-18 minutes.

Easy Cucumber and Tomato Salad [Recipe]

Need a quick snack for your low carb days? One that will allow you to stick to your Custom Meal Plan and fill you up?

This delicious cucumber and tomato salad are easy to make and only takes a few minutes. Plus, this dish is low carb so you can enjoy a good helping of it, helping to keep you full.




1 cucumber, cubed
2 tomatoes, diced


1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp dijon mustard
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
Dash of dill
Dash of turmeric



Mix your tomatoes and cucumbers together in a bowl. Then in a separate small bowl mix all of the ingredients for the dressing.

Drizzle your dressing over your salad and enjoy!

Take the Challenge… With Me!

If you haven’t been paying attention the past few days, we are gearing up for the 2X Shred Challenge!

There will be days where you will feel like you want to quit, and you will need someone to keep you on your feet. Other times you will see the results and feel on top of the world, and you will need others there to celebrate your progress with you so that you stay inspired. When you are inspired, you can inspire others and change their lives as well.
  2. Have a Plan of Action: You need to have a plan to follow so the everything is laid out for you, getting rid of any roadblocks that may occur. The more you plan, the more you will be prepared for anything that comes up, including days you feel discouraged or days you find yourself eating out.
  3. Follow the Plan: What could be more important than making a plan? Following a plan! You can make all the plans you want, but if you don’t follow through, it all begins to unravel. Do your best to stay dedicated to the plans that you have set in place.

Ok, I Signed Up… Not What?

Once you sign up, you will start getting your first email with instructions on what to do. One of the FIRST things you should do is join the Private Facebook Group. I can’t tell you how crucial it is for you to do this. In fact, all of our past winners were all very active in the group, because it helped to keep them on track and pushed them harder. It is this added support that helped to get them through the challenge and it will help you get there as well.

The second thing you should do is to start taking your pictures. Yup, you will have to take some BEFORE picture to be entered in for the prizes.

It is not necessary to take your measurements, but I encourage you to. This is because the more you know about how your body is changing, the more rewarding it is. This is the real test on how you are doing throughout the challenge, not what the scale says.

Here are some things to remember to do (and not do) throughout the challenge to track your results:

  • Stay Off the Scale: Often, the scale can be deceiving. While you are doing the challenge, you will be burning fat, but you will also be workout out. This means that you will gain some lean mass. Muscle always weighs more than fat. So, this means that you could weigh more or the same, but look completely different because you burned fat and gained muscle. The scale is not a good indicator of your results. It has no idea about fat to mass ratio and so can be incredibly misleading.
  • Measure Your Progress Other Ways: The real way you should track your progress is with your measurements. This is why I encourage you to get a loose tape measure and measure your waist (around the belly button), thighs, and arms (around the bicep).
  • Take Your Measurement First Thing: You want to keep a steady record of your measurements, but I would recommend you don’t do them every day. Pick a day, once a week. Take your measurements first thing in the morning before you consume anything, on the same day of every week. This will give you numbers so you can see where you are heading and what is changing.

Tip to Start Planning Our Your Meals:

If you know me, you know my favorite carb is the sweet potato. In fact, I love it so much I wrote an entire book about it, which will be out later this year, called The Sweet Potato Diet. I encourage you to eat as much of them as you can throughout this challenge… well, as much as you can while sticking to the 21 Day Metabolic Reset Guide and your meals afterward. The sweet potato is insane for fat loss!!!

And the Biggest Tip of All!

The biggest tip that I can give you for the upcoming challenge is to be aware.

Be aware of what your goals are and what you really want for your life. Don’t be at the end of just another year, asking yourself the same questions.
