I recently sat down with Jane Barlow, from Barlow Herbal, to talk about her LDM-100 detox. Every week I get tons of emails asking me questions about detoxing and the types of stuff that may be trending, like the teas, lotions and other magic potions that are on the market. While there are some out there that are good, Jane’s beats them all, as it is a different kind of detox.

And be sure to continue to read after the video to learn:

  • How LDM -100 got started
  • Health benefits of LDM-100

A few weeks ago, I tried Jane’s LDM-100 detox, a product that I believe everyone needs to know about, so I wanted to go over our conversation, what LDM-100 is and what my experience on it was…including the rash I got!

LDM-100 comes from the plant, lomatium, and was created by Jane’s father and as a teenager, she began to take it. Over the next 40 years, Jane continued to take and work with the plant and the detox made from it. Because this plant is only grown in a particular part of the world, it is not very well known or widely used.

If you’ve been following me on social media, you saw the rash I got after taking this. Over the years, Jane has had a lot of experience with LDM-100 and has seen many people get the same rash that I did. While only 7% of people that take this detox will get the rash, she believes that the reason people get it is that it pushes out a viral load that has built up within your tissues over the years. As most of my followers know, I once had a past with drug addiction and so I almost expected a greater risk of getting this rash due to the toxins I had put into my body for so long. Luckily, if you do get the rash, it is a one-time thing as Jane assures me that people who get it, only get it once with no future problems.

For me, it wasn’t an issue as now, my biggest concern is my health and I want to be at my best. If this is what it was going to take, I was all in. I was 5 days into the treatment when I began to break out in an itchy rash that covered my entire body, beginning at my head and working towards the end. It may sound and look horrifying, but in reality, it really wasn’t that bad.

The amazing part is not the rash I had experienced, but what I experienced afterward. Since taking it, I feel so great and have so much energy! While this isn’t the only benefit that I have seen from LDM-100, it is definitely the biggest. I feel like it has cleaned out my body, allowing everything, including my metabolism, to run as it should.

What Else is LDM-100 Good For?

LDM-100 isn’t just great for detoxing, but it can be used when you are sick or even as a preventative so you don’t get sick. For example, I got sick not too long ago, took the LDM-100 and felt 100% better within 24 hours. Jane herself takes it during cold and flu season to prevent herself from getting sick.

As Jane explained, there are so many places in our modern world where we gather toxins. Whether it is old habits, like in my case, or through what we have eaten throughout our life or the polluted air that we breathe. These are things that, for the most part, are unavoidable. Most of us can’t avoid living in a city and so we can’t just stop breathing the polluted city air.

It is also normal, as we get older and become more aware of ourselves and our environments, that we will go from bad habits, such as drugs or even just bad eating habits, to wanting to make ourselves better and wanting to improve our lives. LDM-100 helps almost give you that clean slate, so to speak, removing the toxins that have built up throughout your life so that you can go on to living a healthier lifestyle.

This is different from the trending detoxes, but it is also different from real detoxes, like our 7 Day Detox Drop. With these detoxes, what you are doing is giving your body a break and allowing it to repair itself, while LDM-100 gets deep into your tissue and cleans out the toxins that have built up and are left behind, even after other detoxes.

LDM-100 is something that Jane normally sells to doctors, but wants to expand her product and make it available for the everyday consumer. Check out Jane’s website for more in-depth information on lomatium and the LDM-100, as well as how to buy your own bottle so you can clean out your body from all the built up toxins.

Are You Toxic?

If you remember my last detox blog, I talked about what a detox is and why you should be doing it. Now, I want to talk to you about how you can go about eliminating those toxins from your body and how you don’t store body fat when doing so.

Our bodies get filled with toxins by the foods and medications we consume, products we use and through our environment, such as the pollutants in the air that we breathe. At some point, our body tells us that we need a break from all of this and we need to eliminate those toxins and rejuvenate.

In Chinese medicine, they state that the liver gets clogged, which then leads to disease, whether it be an autoimmune disease, lymphatic issues, meaning your skin, which is also your body’s largest organ and what you will normally detox through. As you take in toxins, they accumulate in your body and get into your bloodstream. It is important to get these toxins out.

The number one sign that people will see showing they are toxic is their inability to lose weight. If you are on a Custom Meal Plan and are constantly working out, but you aren’t seeing any results, being toxic is probably the number one reason.

The second biggest sign of being toxic is chronic fatigue. When you think of chronic fatigue, you think of being tired all the time and waking up tired after having 8 hours of sleep. That is not normal and is a major signal that you have a toxic liver.

Although there are many signs of being toxic, such as muscle aches, joint pains, headaches or sinus issues, trouble with weight loss and chronic fatigue are the two biggest signs that you will see. Everything that you eat and drink is filtered through your liver and your kidneys and if you are not drinking enough water or you are not supplying your body with adequate vitamins and minerals, this is where everything builds up and becomes super toxic.

Detoxing is something that you should be doing on a daily basis, not just something you do once for a week. There are several things that you can do to detoxify yourself that is not nutrition based. The first way is through exercising intensely and sweating the toxins out. You can also dry brush and try different herbs and remedies.

Top Foods to Remove Toxins:

  • Apples
  • Asparagus
  • Artichokes
  • Beets
  • Milk Thistle
  • Turmeric
  • Alpha lipoic acid
  • Burdock tea
  • Dandelion root
  • Vitamin E
  • Zinc
  • Selenium

All of these things are great to use for cleansing. This is why we suggest using Detox Organics with on our 7 Day Detox Drop.

The idea is to lessen your toxic load by pulling out the toxins from your body, removing the toxins and adding in different herbs, supplements, and whole foods. If you are on the 7 Day Detox Drop, I wouldn’t recommend eating anything outside of what is in the program unless it was raw veggies. The point is to detox, so be careful not to add in anything you aren’t supposed to add. When you buy the 7 Day Detox Drop, you receive all of the information that you will need to complete the program.

Here is what you get when you purchase the 7 Day Detox Drop:

  • Jumpstart – In this book, we talk about what a detox is, why it is important and how to go about using the program.
  • Macro List – This will tell you all of the nutritional information of the food that you will be eating.
  • Grocery Guide – This will give you a list of what food you will need for each phase, as well as how much you will need to purchase.
  • Recipe Guide – This guide will provide all of the recipes you will need throughout the detox. Take note that this book is full of whole foods and real meals, not just juices.

As mentioned, Morellifit Nutrition and Detox Organics are made from all natural ingredients that are clean and great while you are cleansing.

Detoxing is something that everyone should be doing as almost everyone is toxic. It is also something that you should be doing if you are trying to lose weight or can’t get rid of that belly fat. Again, detoxing isn’t something that you do once, but a change in lifestyle, so get started now.

What is a detox and why should you be doing it?

When people think of the word detox, often times their mind automatically goes to the idea that it is a fad and that detox isn’t real. In reality, it depends on what your definition of detox is.

Be sure to keep reading after the video to learn:

  • What a detox really is
  • How detoxing can affect your fat loss
  • Why toxins can cause we weight loss plateau
  • How you can restart your system and get back on track

What is a Detox?

Let’s start with what a detox is not. A detox is not a skinny tea, it is not a starvation diet, it is not a magic pill and it is not taking fat burners. Some people resort to these things as a type of quick fix, and while some may work, the results are only temporary. The weight will come back.

A true detox is when you are giving your organs a break, such as your liver, your kidneys and just your lymphatic system in general. By giving your organs a break, you are giving them a chance to rejuvenate, replenish the cells and get the toxins out.

There are many different ways you can get the toxins out of your body, but I always emphasize doing it through the use of whole foods and drinking a lot of water. This is what the 7 Day Detox is based on. This is a jumpstart program, meaning it is not just a quick fix to temporarily drop those extra pounds, but rather an introduction to a lifestyle that will help you clear out toxins and keep weight off.

When your body becomes sick, that sickness can manifest itself in many different ways. For example, you can begin to have acne on different areas of your face. Acne on your chin is usually an indication of issues with your intestines, acne on your upper lip can indicate hormonal issues, and acne on your forehead can indicate a liver problem. Different ailments can begin to show up in different areas of your body.

Fat Loss and Detox

Here at morellifit, we know a lot about fat loss and we know that all fat loss begins with your liver, because that is your filtration system. Think of your body as a car. If you want your car to continue to run well, you make sure to get the oil changed and the air filters replaced so that you can keep it running clean and it doesn’t break down. So, why would you not apply this same concept to your body? You want it to keep running well and not break down, so you need to be sure that it runs clean by getting rid of the toxins. But unlike a car, you only have one body.

This is why you need to constantly detox. It is not something that you do for a week and you’re done. You need to constantly detox and replenish your cells and you can do this by eating whole foods. Your food, literally, becomes you, so when you begin to incorporate a whole food diet into your life, you are beginning a detox.

The Fat Loss Plateau

The build-up of toxins is one reason that plateaus happen during fat loss and in order to get through this, you need to restart your metabolism. There are many different ways you can do this, but you want to make sure you do so in a way that is sustainable, so you can continue to keep that fat off, rather than gaining it all back.

Because of my background, I would never want to promote something that isn’t sustainable, healthy or realistic. No matter what you are doing in your life or how you try to avoid things that are not all natural, there are environmental toxins that you just can’t avoid, such as something that comes in contact with your skin or the air pollutant that you ingest just by breathing in the city air. Toxins find a way into your body. When you are toxic, it can manifest itself in many different ways, whether it be hormonal issues, where women aren’t able to have their menstrual cycles or you become fatigued. If you are fatigued, you are absolutely toxic, as it is not normal to walk around tired all day and you must restart your system.

Restarting Your System

Restarting your system is important for clearing out the toxins in your body and for restarting your metabolism and your fat loss. This is why I highly recommend the 7 Day Detox. It will clear out the toxins and help you with your fat loss. You can find many testimonials on YouTube of people discussing how this program has helped them. If you have already done this program, please let us know what it did for you. I’d love to hear your feedback!

Again, detox is something that you should do daily and not something you just do for a week and forget about. It isn’t just a quick fix, it is a higher quality lifestyle that you live. Get on the 7 Day Detox and incorporate it into a whole food diet. The easiest way to do this is to get onto a Custom Meal Plan. Do it and I promise, you will feel amazing!

Do you ever get that feeling?

The horrid, uncomfortable, energy-sapping, weight around your stomach.

Those days when you feel so bloated that you’re convinced you gained 15 pounds, even though you know you haven’t?

It might happen after a cheat meal, following a vacation or holiday, or, you may just experience bloating on random days, at random times, and for a seemingly no good reason at all.

Bloating affects us all, but you can banish bloating forever. All it takes is 3 simple steps and a little patience.

I lay out each of these steps in order (and give you tips to take action right away).

1. Clean Up Your Diet

Maybe your diet is pretty clean already.

But is it as clean as it could be?

Are you really being honest with yourself? Is 90% of what you put into your mouth, good, wholesome, nutritious food, or are you letting the occasional bit of “junk” creep in? (If you are, it’s okay – I have some advice on this in just a moment.)

If you know you’ve slipped a little lately, here’s what I would like you to do.

For the next 2 weeks, commit to following your meal plan perfectly.

That means eating the foods you’re supposed to eat, eating at the times you’re supposed to eat, and not letting any hidden treats or snacks slip in there UNLESS they’re part of your cheat meals.

Plan your cheat meals for the same days, at the same time each week, and make a note of how they make you feel. Chances are, you may experience bloating, in which case, you know the culprits of that stuffed feeling you’ve been experiencing.

Outside of those cheat meals, though, stick to the same kinds of foods (lean meats, fish, nuts, and seeds, fruits and veggies, some safe starches).

2. Get Wet

If there’s one thing that I believe that could banish the bloat, it would be to increase water intake.

Good old H2O is the foundation to any successful diet. When you don’t drink enough, your body enters scarcity mode, where it clings onto any water that’s consumed. It also down-regulates digestion.

In the video I reveal exactly how much water you need to ensure you never, ever get bloated;

3. Master Mindfulness

I’m not a fan of counting calories (especially to begin with).

What I am a fan of, though, is being mindful and aware.

If you consciously focus on how your diet makes you feel, you’ll never over-eat, which means you’ll also follow the first two tips, and as long as nothing hormonal isn’t going on you shouldn’t bloat.

While you’re following your clean eating plan for the next 2 weeks, I also want you to keep a food journal.

In it, note down what you eat and when, a rough guide on how much you’re consuming, how each bite makes you feel, and whether or not you feel bloated.

Once the two weeks is up, go back over it and look for patterns.

Can you pick out any particular foods that made you feel tired?

How about foods that gave you great energy and helped you perform better in the gym?

Doing this helps you create a list of “go-to foods” and foods that you’ll want to avoid at all costs.

Banishing the bloat isn’t hard.

Give it just 2 weeks of consistency, and I guarantee you’ll never feel bloated and fat again — as long as you continue to apply these steps of course.

Done-For-You Banish the Bloat Diet

The 3 tips here are almost all you need to eliminate bloating.

Sometimes, though, no matter what you try, that feeling still plagues you.

This could be to do with changes in hormone levels, the odd inner workings of your metabolism, or your body deciding it suddenly doesn’t like a certain food.

I found that with my clients, this would happen often.

So I created a plan that never fails to banish the bloat.

My 7-Day Detox Drop has so far been downloaded nearly 10,000 times at the time of this publication.

And the results are astounding.

Just click the link above to see some of the testimonials.

Men and women alike have used this special combination of foods and juices to lose up to 6 to 12 pounds in just 7 days.

This really is a game-changer, and a very sensible investment if you never want to feel bloated and uncomfortable again.

TOP 7 DETOX TIPS TO BANISH THE BLOAT

1. Get Fruity

So many folks think that detox juices have to be all veggies, and that fruit is banned.

This is not the case.

The natural sugars in fruit are completely different to the sugars you get in candy bars and cakes and will help lift your mood and energy levels.

Include 1 fruit serving per 2 vegetable servings.

2. The Darker the Better

On the topic of fruit, the darker it is, the better it is for you.

This is due to the fact that dark-skinned fruits have better protection from the sun, and so keep their nutritional values more effectively. Think blackberries, blueberries, and elderberries.

Thick-skinned fruits such as mangos, limes, and pineapples work on the same principle too.

3. Look at the Liquid

You can use water in your detox smoothies, but why would you, when varying the liquid component adds flavor, texture and extra nutrition?

Almond milk is a real winner, as is coconut water, coconut milk, and even the juice from fresh fruits such as lemons and limes.

4. Go Green

As much as possible, aim to include something green in your drink.

When combined with other ingredients you won’t taste these at all. So get some spinach, kale, broccoli, or even lettuce and aloe vera leaves in there.

5. Make it Nice with Spice

One incredibly simple tip to make your smoothies so much tastier (yet few people know about) is to add a dash of spice to each one.

If you’ve not tried ginger, cinnamon, or even a dash of natural sea salt with your concoctions, you’re seriously missing out. A little of these goes a long way.

6. Neat n’ Sweet

A big problem many people face when making their own detox drinks at home is working out how to make them sweet without adding a ton of syrup, sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Well, that problem can be solved by raiding nature’s store cupboard.

Raw honey and agave nectar are godsends and don’t forget that many sweeter fruits, like bananas, apples, papaya and apples pack more than enough sweet punch on their own.

7. Factor in Fat

Fat?

In a weight loss smoothie?

Absolutely!

Your body needs healthy dietary fats to function optimally, produce hormones, and burn body fat as fast as physically possible.

Some easy ways to get in a small serving of this essential nutrient is by adding in a small handful of almonds, walnuts or pistachios to each drink, or blending in half a tablespoon of macadamia nut oil or coconut oil.

There you have it…

7 ways to not only make your detox even more effective in terms of weight loss, fat burning, metabolic rate and energy levels, but also in taste.

Because what good is following a diet, if you don’t enjoy it!?
Why detox, though?

It’s that typical scenario …

You feel fat.

Your abs are bloated.

You’re sluggish, tired, and downright miserable with your physique.

You know you need to “diet” – but it’s just such a horrendous thought.

Weeks and months of grilled chicken breast, broccoli, garden salads and egg white omelets are not appealing in any way whatsoever.

Plus, from past experiences, you know that actually, it can take a while to see the benefits from such an eating plan. So not only are you depressed and bored with what you’re eating, but you’re not even reaping the rewards.

There must be a quicker way, right?

Enter the Detox

Now, before jumping to conclusions – detoxing probably isn’t what you think it is.

When done right, detoxing is a fantastic way to –

  • Get rid of stomach bloating
  • Lose stubborn fat
  • Increase your metabolism
  • Flush your system of harmful toxins

Not only that but if anything, your feelings of vim and vigor will increase, as you’re supplying your body with a whole host of powerful vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

The secret is adding delicious detox smoothies and shakes to your diet, using the tips above.

A proper detox diet, containing a couple of daily drinks as per these guidelines, along with balanced, clean meals is just about the best way anyone, no matter what level of experience can use to:

  • Beat the stomach bulge
  • Get a rapid start to losing weight while feeling great
  • Reset the body’s metabolic profile
  • Feel lighter, leaner and healthier
  • Strengthen the immune system
  • Lose fat in a fast, safe, sustainable manner

So try it – you might just be surprised

New Year resolutions suck.

It’s all well and good having goals, but the trouble is, we don’t stick to them.

Think about it – how many have you had over the years?

Whether it’s been to take up the guitar, learn Spanish, become a master of ballroom dancing, or, our favorite – lose weight and get in shape – time and time again, we fall short.

So how about, this year, you make your resolutions properly?

You make them so precise, so goal-orientated and so targeted that you simply can’t fail?

Sound like a plan?

Why You Fail

A 2007 study by British psychologist Robert Wiseman found that only 12% of us stick to and achieve our resolutions come the end of the year. (1)

That depresses me.

It means that for everyone who starts January with vim, vigor, and a willingness to change their lives, 88 out of every 100 fails.

For whatever reason, they just can’t summon up that inner strength to make the changes needed to take them where they need to be.

To me, that issue comes down to 3 things –

  • Not finding your “Why”
  • Poor planning
  • Lack of social support

In this article, I’ll help you get all 3 of these right.

I’m guessing, if you’re reading this, then your resolution revolves around losing weight, getting lean and creating your best body ever?

If so, read on, and we’ll make sure we get you there.

Finding Your “Why”

This is just about the most important aspect of any resolution making or goal setting.

The “why” refers to your deep desire for change.

I’m not talking about saying you want to lose weight because you think you should, or because others expect you to – we need to find what REALLY drives you.

You might say you want to lose weight to look better, but that’s not enough.

Somewhere, deep down inside, you feel pain.

If being out of shape and overweight was the norm, and you didn’t feel judged, you wouldn’t really want to change, would you?

Yet, for the standards our society sets, and the way you feel others look at you, you’re not happy about the way you look – and THIS is your why.

Perhaps you were picked on at school.

Maybe people at work talk about you behind your back.

You might feel that you’re not setting a good example for your kids.

Whatever your “why” is – find it, and think about it every single day.

Use the doubters and the haters as motivation to drive you forward, and think back to them every time you feel like slipping.

Plan Properly

Do you have a precise plan of action, laid out with daily, weekly and monthly goals to hit your targets for 2015?

No?

Most people don’t – and that’s why 88% of people fail, so let’s look at how we can break it down.

Your yearly goal may be to get a six-pack.

This is cool and perfectly achievable, but it’s not really actionable. What we need to do is figure out a way you can break this down into smaller steps.

Take 3 whiteboards – one small, one medium and one big.

Your monthly or long-term goals and actions go on the big one, your weekly goals go on the medium one, and daily targets go on the small one.

For instance…

Big Board –

– “Get a Six-Pack” might go at the top, but you could also have –
– “Drop to a 32” waist by May 15th (my birthday) and be performing 3 weights workouts consistently each week.”

Medium Board –

– This week –
– “Complete week 4 of “HIIT Max” and give 100% in every workout.”
– “Do my grocery shop by Thursday evening, and ensure I’m stocked up with fresh and frozen fruits and veggies to get me through the next week.”

Small Board –

– Today
– Get a lean serving of protein at every single meal
– Remember to take all my supplements

***IF YOU DON’T HAVE SPACE FOR BOARDS***

I would recommend that if you don’t have the space for the boards, try different sized sticky notes, pieces or paper or something similar – but aim for big, medium, small for whatever you choose.

Hitting daily goals means you’re more likely to hit your medium-term goals, keeping you on track to smashing your overall resolution goal.

Social Support

Few folk can successfully go it alone.

You need support and structure to keep you going.

You also need the fear of failure, and the thought that others may judge you for not completing what you set out to.

So it’s for that reason that I encourage you to tell as many people as possible about your goals.

Tell your friends, family, colleagues and gym buddies.

Most will be helpful, supportive and encouraging, but even the doubters and naysayers have their use – along with your “why” think about these people almost hoping that you fail, and channel that into your success, pushing you forward to prove them wrong.

Go Forth and CRUSH IT

Using these tips and tricks, there’s no way you can finish 2015 NOT in the shape of your life.

Being leaner, fitter, slimmer and sexier.

Remember, if you’re struggling for support, motivation, and encouragement, you can get me through the contact tab, or head on over to the Facebook page.

Here’s to a great 2015, and I’ll see you on the other side.

Oh, and if you need a little ‘kickstart’ – and want to lose 7-11 lbs, safely and naturally, then why not try my Detox Drop system?

It only takes 7-10 days and might be just what you need to start 2015 with a bang.
