Too Busy to Prep? Stay On Track with This

Recently we’ve seen the explosion of subscription services and you can get one for just about anything; wine, pet boxes, makeup, snacks, food… pretty much anything you can think of.

In fact, we are even partnered with one where you can sign up for a subscription service and get 6 bottles of paleo wine every month.

Because the wine subscription was so much fun it got us thinking and wondering about the services that provide food and so we wanted to try one and let you know how it turned out. The one that we went with was Sun Basket, as it promoted healthy meals made with non-GMO and organic ingredients.

And, if you know one thing about us, it’s that we love our food! We had so much fun with our box of food and really enjoyed it that we wanted to share our experience with you.

Not only was getting the box of food fun and the meals delicious, but it was also super simple to sign up and make! Trust me, even if you are not a whiz in the kitchen, you will be just fine and it won’t take long before you are serving up gourmet meals.


How Do I Get Meals Like This?


When you sign up, it gives you a menu you can choose from, such as Chef’s Choice, Vegetarian, Paleo, or Gluten Free. We, of course, went with the Paleo option and then chose our recipes from there.

In no time at all the food was on our doorstep with all the ingredients we would need already measured out. It had absolutely everything that we needed in it, including the detailed instructions that showed us step by step how to use each ingredient and cook the entire meal.

If you are someone that doesn’t like to cook, or you just don’t think you can cook anything more than your “basic” bland food, then this is for you.

I couldn’t believe just how good the meals were! Or just how easy it was to make them. I don’t consider myself the best cook, so when I was able to make meals that looked like they took a lot of work and tasted like they took a lot of work… I was shocked!

I felt like I was eating at an expensive restaurant that was located right in my own dining room.

People always ask me what supplements and vitamins I take throughout my day to keep my body in top shape and to make sure that I stay healthy.

Paleo Granola [Recipe]

Here is a simple and delicious granola recipe that you can make yourself. Eat it on its own or add it to your yogurt for a yummy topping! Plus, the macros on this treat are great for adding it to a balanced snack or incorporating it right into your Custom Meal Plan.

Feel free to add in fresh fruit, such as blueberries, to add extra flavor to your granola.



  • 2 cups sliced almonds
  • 2 cups unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 cup raw sunflower seeds
  • 1 cups raw pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 extra virgin coconut oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg


Preheat your oven to 350º and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, mix your coconut, nuts, and seeds, adding in your cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir until your mixture is coated in the seasonings.

On low heat, melt your coconut oil and honey. Add in your vanilla extract.

Once warm and melted, pour the mixture over your nuts and seeds and stir it all together so that your nuts and seeds are coated.

Pour onto the baking sheet and spread evenly. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.

After you remove your newly baked granola from the oven, let it cool before adding it to a storage container.


This makes 14 servings (about 7 cups). Serving size 1/2 cup.

How Italians Make Tacos [Michael’s in the Kitchen!!]

Today we’re making tacos and if you’re like me, you LOVE tacos.

But as we know, they aren’t always the healthiest meal you could have, so we decided to make them from scratch with all natural, healthy ingredients. And boy, they are some of the best tacos I have ever had!

Being Italian, I don’t have a family recipe that has been passed down from one generation to the next and that’s why I called in some help. Take a look at the video below and watch as my friend Jose and I make tacos, including the salsa, from scratch! Trust me, by the end of this video, you will be gathering the ingredients to make tacos for dinner!



Grass-fed Ground Beef
Avocados (optional topping)
1 White Onion (optional topping)
1/2 Bunch of Cilantro (optional topping)

1/2 cup Coconut Flour
4 large Eggs
1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
1/2 tsp Salt

8 Tomatoes
4-8 Chili Serrano Pepper (depending on how spicy you want it)
1 Clove of Garlic
1 Purple Onion
1 Lemon
1/2 Bunch of Cilantro
Himalayan Salt


In a skillet over medium heat, cook your grass-fed ground beef until fully cooked. Season with FlavorGod Seasoning taco seasoning.

Whisk all of your ingredients together in a bowl until smooth. Let the batter sit for a couple of minutes to loosen. Your batter should be runny before cooking.

Heat a small skillet over medium heat and grease with olive or coconut oil. Pour 1/4 cup of your batter onto the skillet, rotating the pan so that it forms a thin circle and the batter is evenly distributed. Cover with a lid and let it cook for about 2 minutes, or until the edges begin to curl inward. Flip and repeat.

Finely chop your onions and cilantro.

In a pan on medium-high heat, char your tomatoes and chili serrano peppers until they almost look burnt. Add your tomatoes and peppers into a blender and pulse until mixed. Once blended, cut your lemon in half and add the juice from the entire lemon. Then add in your onions and cilantro and pulse until you reach your desired level of chunky. Salt to the desired flavor.

Once you have finished, you can finely dice the white onion and remaining cilantro together and/or carve up an avocado into cubes for delicious, healthy toppings.

Assemble your tacos and enjoy!
